This year the Upper New York AACE chapter meeting
was held on September 29 & 30, 2006 at the
Mirbeau Inn in Skaneateles, New York.
The meeting was well attended and included presentations
on primary hyperparathyroidism, vitamin D deficiency, osteonecrosis
due to bisphosphonate therapy, type 2 diabetes mellitus
in youth, celiac disease, Paget’s disease of bone,
hypokalemia and endocrine hypertension, and the new ADA
recommendations for exercise.
These presentations led to several interesting discussions.
Dr. Zachary Freedman presented the dinner lecture on “The
Role of Incretin Hormones in Glucose Management”.
Many areas from central and western New York were represented
(Buffalo, Syracuse, Elmira, Rochester).
We encourage you to attend our next meeting in Cooperstown,
New York in 2007!
